Information on Field Day from Mr. Moore...
Dear Windermere Families,
A couple reminders for Field Day this Monday June 6th.
What to wear: Kids should be dressed in athletic clothing. Please don't send them in their favorite outfit...it will get wet and dirty. Tennis shoes are perfect. A hat to help keep the sun off is a good idea but they are easily lost. Sunscreen is very important. Please be sure to apply in the morning (before they arrive at school). We will also have a sun screen station where they can reapply throughout the day.
Water bottles are a good idea to stay hydrated. I will have numerous coolers placed around the field for use as well. I also have a bunch of water games that will keep them cool.
Lunch: The lunch schedule will remain the same. We will be operating on an indoor recess plan to let kids relax a bit before they come back outside for the afternoon session. (Students will eat indoors.)
(Morning arrival) Line up will be indoors in the MP room...not outside.
Volunteers: If you are volunteering, you should have received an informational email yesterday. AM volunteers should arrive promptly at 8:30...just meet me in the back field. PM volunteers are scheduled to arrive at 11:30. All day volunteers should arrive at 8:30 as well. Lunch will be provided for volunteers in the gym from 11 - 12noon. If you can help, but haven't contacted me, feel free to show up. We can always use more help.
The weather looks great and we are looking forward to an exciting day.
